RRR25 Banner 2

The inaugural River Ramble for Reconciliation, ‘Bridging from Now to Next’, took place in Footscray on Sunday 1 June 2025 from 10am to 1pm. Bunurong, Tyreelore and Trawlwoolway man, Robert Ogden, Yarned with us before doing a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony. Participants then rambled along the pathway beside the Maribyrnong River from Grimes Reserve to Footscray Rowing Club and return. Captain Gaz gave a number of lucky ramblers a ride in the Reconciliation Boat flying the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders flags. The weather was perfect and the conversations wonderful. Thank you to everyone who rambled, donated and showed your support for the Reconciliation journey to Treaty and beyond …
